HOA Dues

Dues pay for maintenance of the front area at Meadows and Kipling, the north side of Meadows from Kipling to Roxbury, and the corners of Chaucer Park. In addition, the collected dues enable the association to sponsor annual community events like the Easter Egg Hunt, Dumpster Days (for dues paying members only), the Community Garage Sale, Evening in the Park, Concert in the Park, Halloween Festival, and the Christmas Hayride (again, for dues paying members only). We also put up Christmas lights at the Meadows/Kipling entrance each year. All of these help to keep our home values up and make Canterbury a great place to live!

The HOA does NOT provide snow removal services or trash pick-up. Those services are handled by the individual homeowners.

Annual dues of $125 are due January 1st to cover the upcoming year. Payment submission information is included in the monthly newsletter, “The Canterbury Tales,” and a reminder is sent in the early part of the year to those who haven’t already paid.

Dues may also be paid online using one of the methods below.

We have added two low-cost methods for dues payment: Zelle, which has a zero fee and Venmo, which has a $2.47 fee for the $125 dues payment.

Instructions for Zelle and Venmo Payments

Zelle: The name of our account is CANTERBURY HOMEOWNERS ASSOC and the email is treasurer@hoacanterbury.com. There is no standalone app for Zelle, but you can find Zelle on your bank or credit union app if they participate.
Venmo: Our Venmo account is @Hoacanterbury2026 and it’s listed as a Business under the name Canterbury Homeowners Association. You can find it on your Venmo app or at this browser link: Venmo | Pay & Request

Regardless of method you choose, make sure to include the address of your Canterbury home in the “Add a memo” section in Zelle or the “What’s this for?” section in Venmo to ensure your home is marked as “dues paid.”
